I am very pleased to announce Public Auction #78, which features outstanding items from the Holy Land, World War I in Palestine, Mandate stamps, Palestine covers, Israel stamps and covers, Judaica covers, Anti-semitic postcards and Arab related items.
I am particularly excited about the 1948 section with over 175 lots of Essays, Proofs, Courier covers, Locals and Interim Period. This is probably the largest and in-depth collection of it's kind offered by us in our 40 year history. The majority of this section comes from the award-winning collection of Burt Adlerblum.
Public Auction #78 takes place during the annual CHICAGOPEX STAMP SHOW, on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at 2pm. The show runs from November 20-22 at the Sheraton Chicago Northwest hotel, Arlington Heights, Ill.
You will have a chance to view the lots in Tel Aviv, Israel, Oct. 29-30 (Thursday & Friday), Nov. 7-8 in New York (Holiday Inn Midtown 57th St.), Nov. 14-15 in Los Angeles (Carriage Inn, Sherman Oaks), and during Chicagopex Nov. 20-22 at our booth at the show.
All mail, phone and fax bids must be in by 6pm, PST, on Saturday, November 21, 2009. E-mail bids will be accepted until 8am (Central time) on the morning of the auction, Sunday, November 22. As this is a public auction, we would be more than happy to have you bid on the floor during the sale, or, of you so wish, please contact one of the auction agents, listed on this page, to represent you at the sale.
All lots are guaranteed, and to the best of our knowledge, are described correctly. We have used as reference catalogues listed in the descriptions. Many of the auction items are one of only a few known, and this will be one of your few chances to obtain them for your collection or exhibit.
